Deep River
Minneapolis, MN 55406 ![]() (612) 729-9869 ![]() By Thomas R from Minneapolis, MN Posted Dec 30, 2010 Deep River was a massive mistake for me - it nearly ruined my life. Douglas was passing judgment on me throughout the duration of our work together. In his intake session, he will tell you that he "is a part of the therapy process," but what he really is saying is that he has boundary issues, and he'll overstep his role as your therapist. This is largely due to his massive ego, which continually got in the way. What ended up happening is that he basically directs you, and pushes you toward certain decisions that aren't his to make. This is very dangerous, and when you have a therapist, you need to be able to trust them to not put you in that situation. If this wasn't bad enough, he will require you to pay if you cancel a session with less than 48 hours notice. This is fair enough, but the following section he'll LECTURE you about how valuable his time is, etc. This is in spite of literally paying him for nothing! I think he's a total fraud and shouldn't be practicing any longer at all. Best of luck to you, Thomas Share Your Review Please note: all reviews are screened for spam and take 24-48 hours to be approved.
